COMPASSIONATE COMMUNICATION PRACTICE GROUPS

Following our Workshop February 8-10, 4 study groups have formed to practice the "new languague" of Compassionate Communication.

As Pan said, "Anything worth doing is worth doing badly."

This is an opportunity to learn among friends.

The Study Groups are open to anyone who participated in our Workshop or a comparable Workshop and/or is familiar with Marshall B. Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life

The groups will meet during March, April and May.

WE CAN BE THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD!

Texts for the practice group are Marshall B. Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life and the accompanying workbook by Lucy Leu.

Schedules may change so check dates with hosts.

MONDAYS, 4 to 6 PM.at Marian Dobbs' home at 504 Maple Ave, OLD SAYBROOK (click here for directions); Bob Mathis, host (email Bob or phone him at 860-399-7714). Meeting place may change.  Verify location with Bob.

TUESDAYS, 4.00 to 5.30 PM; Pete de la Rosa's office at 201 Williams Street, NEW LONDON (click here for directions); Pete de la Rosa, host (contact Pete at 860-440-3630). Group may meet irregularly during the summer.  Contact Pete if you're interested.

WEDNESDAYS, 7.30 to 9 PM; First Congregational Church of OLD LYME (click here for directions); Julia Hikory, host (contact Julia at 860-442-0306).  This group meets twice a month.  Contact Julia for dates.

SUNDAYS, 1.30-3.30 PM, Natalie Billing's home at 15 Ashby Street in MYSTIC (click here for directions); Natalie Billing, host (email Natalie or phone her at 860-536-2558).  This group is taking a summer break.  Next meeting scheduled for September 7.

Mystic Spirit Group

The next meeting will be August 27th at the Morgan House of the Union Baptist Church, High Street, at Route #1, Mystic. All are welcome..

 

Jaye will lead a discussion on the Indian teacher, Ekath Easwaren, who was influenced by Gandhi, was a Fulbright scholar at Berkeley and taught the oneness of all religions.

A discussion of the uncoming national elections and their relationship to changing thought and spiritual development.

October 22

A discussion of the book A New Earth. .

Singing Our Hearts Out for Peace, Justice and the Earth

 

Rehearsals at First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, 2 Ferry Road at 2.30 PM unless otherwise indicated.
